Ayr cinema to host calmer Moana screening for autistic audiences

Astoria Cinema in Ayr is to host a special autism-friendly screening of Disney’s Moana on Sunday, September 13.

The relaxed screening is designed to make going to the cinema more accessible for autistic people and others who benefit from a calmer environment.

What to expect at the Ayr screening

Lights will remain slightly on during the film and the sound level will be reduced. There will also be no adverts or trailers before the movie begins.

Audience members will be free to move around the auditorium as needed while the film is being shown.
