Drivers in Ayr could face new 20mph speed limits as part of the next phase of a speed-restriction rollout across South Ayrshire. Prestwick and Troon are also being considered, but no roads have yet been confirmed.
The update was provided by Ayrshire Roads Alliance (ARA) to the Ayrshire Shared Services Joint Committee. It follows the introduction of 20mph limits in Girvan, with further work under way in Coylton, Barr, Maybole and Pinmore.
