Ayr’s Gaiety Theatre is preparing to celebrate its 125th anniversary next year, with discussions focusing on its future and the practical challenges of operating from a listed building.
Siobhian Brown MSP recently met Laila Noble and Sally Rennie from the Gaiety Theatre in Ayr to discuss plans for the venue.
Community work and anniversary plans
The meeting also covered work being carried out with community groups. The theatre’s anniversary will take place next year, although no specific programme or celebration dates have yet been provided.
Ms Brown said the Gaiety is “much loved across Ayrshire” and said she was looking forward to the venue’s pantomime season.
