Police have released an image of a man they believe may be able to help with an investigation into the theft of an item of jewellery from premises on Alloway Street in Ayr.
The incident took place on Saturday 30 May 2026. Officers said the jewellery has since been recovered, while enquiries continue to identify and trace the man shown in the image.

The man is described as being around 30 to 40 years old and approximately 5ft 7ins tall, with a stocky build. He had a shaven bald head and a bull-head tattoo on the back of his head.
At the time, he was wearing a black jacket over a light-coloured hoodie top, a light-coloured T-shirt and light-coloured Adidas tracksuit bottoms. He was also wearing light-coloured trainers and spoke with broken English.
