Ayr Pavilion is set to become a late-night dance venue this New Year’s Eve, hosting a 90s Eurodance rave running from 4pm on December 31 until 1am.
The Eurodance 35th Anniversary Hogmanay Party will bring together performers associated with the Eurodance and rave scenes, offering an alternative to more traditional Hogmanay celebrations in Ayr.
Acts announced for the Ayr Pavilion event
The line-up confirmed so far includes Shades of Rhythm, K-Klass, Altern 8, Oceanic, Dream Frequency, Ultrasonic and Oceanic Lee. Organisers say further acts are still to be announced.
The event will celebrate 35 years of the Eurodance era, including the music and club culture that dominated the 1990s and early 2000s. Ayr Pavilion has described the party as one of its headline Hogmanay events.
Tickets and event details
The venue is promising live performances and classic dance anthems throughout the night, with a high-energy format built around lasers, dance music and nostalgia.
Tickets are currently available through Skiddle. Fans are being urged to book early, although the supplied event information does not state a ticket price or provide details of age restrictions, transport arrangements or entry requirements.
With the event scheduled to continue into the early hours of New Year’s Day, it is aimed at people seeking a club-focused Hogmanay experience at Ayr Pavilion rather than fireworks and traditional celebrations.
