Dobbies is recruiting Santas and elves for its Christmas events at its Ayr store, with applications now open for seasonal roles ahead of the retailer’s festive programme.
The programme will begin with Santa’s Arrival on November 22. Successful applicants will help welcome families, including four-legged visitors, to Santa’s Grotto and host Santa’s Breakfast in the restaurant.
Flexible seasonal roles
Dobbies said previous festive experience is not required. The retailer is encouraging people who enjoy spreading Christmas cheer to apply, with recruitment open across the UK.
A range of flexible positions is available, with hours designed to suit different lifestyles and commitments. The roles are intended to support the events programme at the Ayr store as preparations get under way.
Training before events begin
Successful applicants will take part in the North Pole Academy. The programme is designed to provide skills, confidence and support, while also helping seasonal colleagues connect before they begin work.
Preparations for the Christmas events will start in mid-November. The recruitment is open to people seeking seasonal work, including returning colleagues and those joining Dobbies for the first time.
