Two men have pleaded not guilty at Ayr Sheriff Court after allegedly brandishing a knife and knuckleduster during an incident involving a car pursuit in Kirkmichael.
Jordan Goodwin, 28, and Allan Hugh Bolland, 45, appeared during a brief pre-trial hearing on Wednesday, August 19. They both face charges of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner and possessing a bladed or offensive weapon.
Allegations at Boyleston Crescent and primary school
The Crown’s indictment alleges that the men caused fear and alarm by shouting, swearing and acting aggressively towards a man and a woman at Boyleston Crescent and Kirkmichael Primary School on October 22, 2025.
It is further alleged that the pair pursued the two people in a motor vehicle, blocked their vehicle and repeatedly struck it, causing damage. The charges also allege that a knife and knuckleduster were presented and that offensive remarks were made.
Charges and next steps
Goodwin, of Whitehall Avenue in Patna, faces a specific charge of possessing a knife without reasonable excuse or lawful authority. Bolland, of Girvan Crescent in Newmilns, is alleged to have possessed a knuckleduster.
Both accused pleaded not guilty when they appeared in the dock. Bail was continued for both men, and they will face the allegations again at a later date. The charges remain allegations and have not been proved in court.
