Visitors will have the chance to explore The Gaiety in Ayr after dark when the theatre hosts two ghost tours on October 4.
The tours are scheduled for 2.30pm and 7.30pm, offering guests an introduction to the venue’s reported haunted history.
Stories from the theatre
Organisers say the tours will feature tales of Albert, described as a spectral audience member who is said to watch performances from the balcony.
Another story centres on the Grey Man, a shadowy figure reportedly seen sitting alone in the stalls when the auditorium is empty.
The event is aimed at people brave enough to explore the theatre’s ghostly past. Tickets can be booked through The Gaiety website.
